Audio Gain, Pan and the Audio Track Mixer
Audio Gain
Select audio clips and press G (or Effect Controls ▸ Audio ▸ Audio Gain) to set the level in dB. Gain is applied before Volume keyframes and fades and shows on the clip (for example +3.0dB).
Pan
Effect Controls ▸ Audio ▸ Pan: −100 is hard left, 100 hard right. Pan can be keyframed.
Audio Track Mixer
Open the Audio Track Mixer tab (top-left panel). Each audio track has a pan slider, M (mute), S (solo), a mic button for voice-over, a volume fader in dB (double-click for 0 dB) and a level meter. The Master fader sets the level of the whole mix, including exports.
Normalize Loudness
Select audio clips ▸ right-click ▸ Normalize Loudness… and choose a target: −14 LUFS (YouTube, Spotify), −16 LUFS (Apple), −23 LUFS (EBU broadcast) or −24 LUFS (US broadcast). Reelsmith measures each clip with the standard broadcast method and sets its Audio Gain.
Shortcuts show the Mac keys: on Windows and Linux use Ctrl for ⌘ and Alt for ⌥.
