Copy, paste, speed and other clip commands
Copy and paste
⌘C, ⌘X, ⌘V: pasted clips go to the playhead on their original tracks. Duplicate (Edit menu or right-click) places a copy right after the selection.
Speed / Duration (⌘R)
Set a speed percentage or a new duration. Audio pitch is preserved during playback. Tick Ripple Edit to push later clips instead of overwriting them. You can also set speed in Effect Controls ▸ Time, or drag with the Rate Stretch tool.
Enable / disable (⇧E)
A disabled clip stays in the timeline but is not seen or heard.
Right-click menu
Cut, Copy, Paste, Duplicate, Clear, Ripple Delete, Enable/Disable, Link/Unlink, Speed/Duration, Apply Default Transitions, Add Fade In/Out, Set to Frame Size, Scale to Fill Frame, Reset Effects, Nest…, Rename and Reveal in Project.
Undo
⌘Z undoes and ⇧⌘Z redoes — up to 300 steps.
Shortcuts show the Mac keys: on Windows and Linux use Ctrl for ⌘ and Alt for ⌥.
