Freeze frames, reverse and speed ramps

Freeze frame

• Add Frame Hold (right-click a video clip, or Effect Controls ▸ Time): from the playhead to the end of the clip becomes a still of that frame.
• Insert Frame Hold Segment: inserts a 2-second still at the playhead and pushes everything later.

Reverse

Right-click ▸ Reverse Clip (or Effect Controls ▸ Time ▸ ◀◀ Reverse). Reversed video previews by stepping frames; the export is smooth and frame-accurate, and reversed sound is rendered in the export.

Speed ramps (time remapping)

In Effect Controls ▸ Time, click the stopwatch next to Time Remap Speed, move the playhead and change the value to add keyframes — for example 100% → 300% → 100% for a quick speed-up in the middle. Clips with time remapping show TR on the timeline. For a constant change use Speed/Duration.

Shortcuts show the Mac keys: on Windows and Linux use Ctrl for ⌘ and Alt for ⌥.
