Nested sequences
Nesting puts several clips inside one clip, so you can treat them as a unit — for example to apply one effect or transition to a whole group.
Nest clips
Select the clips, right-click ▸ Nest… (or Sequence ▸ Nest…), and name the new sequence. The clips are replaced by one nested clip, and the new sequence appears in the Project panel.
Use a sequence inside another
Drag a sequence from the Project panel onto a track of the open sequence.
Edit inside a nest
Double-click the nested clip to open its sequence in a new tab. Changes there appear everywhere it is used. A sequence cannot be placed inside itself.
Nested clips can be trimmed, split, moved and given effects, transitions and masks like any other clip.
Shortcuts show the Mac keys: on Windows and Linux use Ctrl for ⌘ and Alt for ⌥.
