Fast vs. real-time export
Fast — frame-accurate (default)
Each output frame is built from the exact source frames and encoded directly, and audio is mixed offline. It is usually many times faster than real time and gives the exact duration.
Real-time
The sequence is played and recorded, so a 5-minute edit takes 5 minutes. Reelsmith switches to this automatically when needed — for example when an audio clip's speed was changed, because pitch-preserving playback is only available in real time. The Export dialog shows a message when this happens.
Shortcuts show the Mac keys: on Windows and Linux use Ctrl for ⌘ and Alt for ⌥.
