Green screen (Ultra Key)

1. Put the background on V1 and the green-screen clip on V2 above it.
2. Drag Effects ▸ Video Effects ▸ Ultra Key (Green Screen) onto the V2 clip.
3. In Effect Controls ▸ Ultra Key, click Pick from Program, then click the green background in the Program monitor.
4. Adjust Tolerance until the background disappears, Softness to smooth the edges, and Spill suppression to remove the green tint on hair and edges.

Any colour can be keyed (blue screens too). Use Crop or a mask to remove parts of the set outside the green area.

Shortcuts show the Mac keys: on Windows and Linux use Ctrl for ⌘ and Alt for ⌥.
